Igor Motsnyi

Igor Motsnyi is an IP, Trademark and Domain Names consultant with international experience.  Igor holds an LLM degree from Leiden University, the Netherlands and completed post-graduate specialization course on Intellectual Property jointly organized by Turin University (Italy) and WIPO Academy. Prior to establishing his own firm Igor Motsnyi worked as an in-house counsel in a number of IT companies and international law firms, including one of the leading US law firms and as a head of IT law practice in an English law firm.

Igor has extensive experience in a broad range of IP and IT matters including trademarks, domain names copyright, know-how, patents, computer software, technology licensing, IP transactions and IP due diligence.

Igor Motsnyi is a member of ECTA and the ITechLaw Association. Igor is a regular speaker at national and international conferences on law and technology and has numerous publications on IP/IT in English, Russian and Serbian languages including publications in the Trademark World Magazine, IP Value and Computer Law Review International. Igor was recommended by international legal rankings such as “BestLawyers” ®, “WhosWhoLegal” and “WTR-1000”.

Igor Motsnyi is a UDRP panelist with the Czech Arbitration Court and the ADNDRC and a URS examiner with the MFSD, Milan – a Uniform Rapid Suspension system (URS) dispute resolution provider approved by ICANN and the only URS provider located in Europe.

Jelena Milovanovic

Jelena Milovanovic is a client relations and business development manager.

She has been with “Motsnyi Legal Services/STANDMARK” since the very beginning (January 2011).

Jelena obtained master’s degree in Russian language and literature from Belgrade university and she has been also been dealing with various IP matters including trademarks, domain names and international IP projects in multiple jurisdictions, including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Serbia, US and the EU.

Jelena has extensive experience in interpreting and translating from Russian into Serbian, and vice versa, during business negotiations between Russian, Ukrainian and Serbian companies including companies from the following areas of business: engineering, software, law, agriculture and bee keeping.

She has also been participating both as organizer and attendee in a number of international conferences in Russia, Serbia, France, Spain, including the annual conference of the ISDEF (Independent Software Developers Forum) association in Saint-Petersburg and Belgrade; INTA’s Europe conferences in Paris and Madrid.

When it comes to Intellectual Property, Jelena’s activities are rather broad and relate to support of the clients, including the following areas:trademark searches, assistance in preparing responses to the provisional refuses in various jurisdictions, including Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and EU, research and investigation related to the trademark infringements, preparation of documents for TM registration, TM assignment and license, domain names issues, including assistance with domain name disputes and assistance with other matters related to the trademarks and IP in various jurisdictions.

Jelena is a native Serbian speaker and is fluent in Russian and English languages.

Arina Gorbatiouk

Areas of practice: EU intellectual property law; software and open source licenses; IP contracts; personal data; alternative dispute resolutions.

Arina Gorbatiouk is an IP lawyer and researcher, specializing in EU intellectual property (IP) law and contractual IP.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) and a Joint Master’s degree in Law ‘European Master in Transnational Trade Law and Finance (EMTTLF)’ from the University of Deusto, Tilburg University, and the University of Strasbourg. Within the framework of the EMTTLF, Arina also graduated from the Centre for International IP Studies of the University of Strasbourg with an LL.M in European and international IP Law. She defended her Ph.D. dissertation ‘Rethinking IP Ownership in the Context of Open Innovation’ at KU Leuven.

During her Ph.D. studies, she had an opportunity to spend a semester at the New York University, where she followed the US patent law course.
She assists clients in IP and IT related matters, in particular various contractual IP issues, including IP assignment and IP licensing; IP infringements on the Internet; and personal data compliance.

Arina has also acted as a legal consultant to various consortia projects providing advice on IP and ICT law. She is also a mediator accredited by the Belgian Federal Mediation Committee and is a member of LES Benelux and AIPPI Belgium associations.

She is a frequent speaker at various international events on IP and ICT law.

She is fluent in Russian and English and has a working knowledge of Dutch and French.
